Project Details

OBUTV produces several live, multi-camera broadcasts of arts and culture events each year. One of those events is Tiger Tunes, an annual scholarship fundraiser hosted by Ouachita Student Foundation. Social clubs parody popular tunes around a theme and compete for awards in several categories.

OBUTV began monetizing the live steam in 2021 to contribute to the fundraising efforts. The livestream raised over $10,000 the first year, and has continued to raise thousands each year since. The broadcast also includes a 30-minute pre-show hosted by the Signal editors and “Ouachita News” anchors. The livestream is produced and crewed by students. Watch the 2023 Tunescast below.
